Day 7
Happy Father’s Day Jeffrey, and Happy FIRST Father’s day to Devin! Up early to pick up a Starbucks for Jeff before he woke up, then over to Hannah and Devin’s for a Father’s Day Brunch.
Hannah and I made Egg’s Benedict for the dads, then we all drove to Cardiff State Beach. Devin thought it was dog friendly where we walked down about 50 steps to find out it wasn’t. Too bad, because it looks like a fun beach. Luckily just down the way, we found a section of beach nearby that WAS dog friendly, but requires leashes. Sadie’s just dying to run. She still had a ball though watching all the other dogs and seagulls, and digging and burying her ball. The weather was a bit gloomy, but warm. We overheard someone say this is the typical “June Gloom”. After a day at the beach, we went back to our campsite to cook up some chicken, tri-tip, rice and salad. A wonderful Father’s Day with a campfire to end a perfect day.
