Saturday Cornhole!

Day 426

Our last day in Mahomet with family and we’re already trying to plan out the next visit. Since we’re going to be in California for the Holidays, we likely won’t see them again until early 2022. But, as you can imagine, that would be way too long for grandparents not being able to see their grandchildren. They change just too quickly to wait that long. And we would simply just miss them too much. We’re hoping that the kids might be able to meet up with us at some point, maybe somewhere in the middle between the 2 of us.

Taking full advantage of a break in the weather to have a nice, relaxing family day at the campsite. A day of Cornhole and a bbq. For the appetizers…...7-layer Mexican Dip by me, Air Fried Dill Pickles and Cream Cheese Stuffed Peppers by Hannah. Dinner was a variety of Polish Sausages, Orzo Salad and Corn On the Cob. As far as the Cornhole games went, let’s just say the dinner went way better than the game.

Devin and I teamed up with Devin being the point carrier. My Cornhole mojo was non-existent today, but between the 2 of us, we pulled off a few wins. Hannah and Jeff did pretty well with them equally carrying their team. I definitely need to up my game if we’re ever going to play the Cornhole King, Tim, ever again. Carson had a great time playing with Sadie, trying out a few new food items like watermelon (which he liked), and playing a little catch with our neighbor’s grandchildren. Capped off the fun day with a campfire, s’mores and a little star gazing before the little man had to get some sleep. Where did the time go?
